XP254M Ultra Performance Marine Engine - Billet Version

Arrow Shark Hobby is very proud to introduce a totally upgraded version of our Billet XP254M engine. We have further improved the design so that our 25.4cc power-plant produces just over 6.0+hp with 2.25 ft-lbs of torque at 18,000+ rpm on-the-water. That level of potent performance matches or exceeds all but the most heavily modified racing engines. Even so, the XP254M remains easy to start and tune, and has a steady idle with smooth, reliable running.
With a bore of 34mm and a stroke of 28mm, our billet XP254M is built with extensive use of CNC-manufactured components. Selected parts have been anodized in either silver or bright red for corrosion protection and a striking appearance. The capacity of the water cooling area in our improved version XP254M has been expanded, and the volume of the cooling header is now able to flow about three times the volume of water compare to the standard-type Zenoah cooling jacket. This gives the engine improved cooling, especially at higher revs.
Amongst the design enhancements in this new release, the engine timing has been re-worked to obtain higher torque. The sleeve is even more precision-CNC ported and it has been chrome plated before honing for an extra-hardened surface that reduces friction for improved performance and longer life. The engine comes standard with our rotated carb insulation block and intake venturi, and we also now include the latest version of our quick-release engine mounts. These allow you to move the engine fore-and-aft for optimum balance of your hull¡¯s centre of gravity, and enable you to easily tune your hull¡¯s riding attitude without having to drill new holes in the stringers for alternative mount-rubber positions.
A four-bearing billet crankcase combines with a billet water-cooled cylinder to give this high performance engine a level of rigidity and strength that a cast crankcase just cannot match. Within the 2011 upgrades, we also use a copper base gasket for the cylinder assembly, so you don¡¯t need a replacement gasket for the cylinder no matter how many times you reassemble your engine. You will also find that our exclusive design of the cylinder bolts will make it easier than ever to maintain and put together your XP254M.

The high power output is the result of an exclusive design, and the XP254M features precisely CNC-machined porting, a high performance wrist pin bearing, a high compression cylinder head with a flat top piston, a modified Walbro WT257 big-bore carburetor, a CNC 4-bolt water-cooled exhaust flange, and our CNC rotated carb insulation block allows an easier and more direct throttle linkage. Finally for this 2011 release, your XP254M will be shipped in a custom made foam box to ensure there will be no damage during transportation.
