All Arrow Shark RTR gas boats have high-impact color schemes, but the Octane 45 has the most visually stunning graphics of the lot! This is not a boat suited to shy or retiring personalities, it's for the gas boat owner and driver who wants to show the world that they have nothing less than the very best boat available anywhere. For 2012 these graphics are even better as we are using higher quality automotive paints on a longer hull that extends the already streamlined profile of the boat by 10% to a full 50inches (1,270mm), and that's before we add the Stinger and rudder! While we were making the Octane 45 bigger, we made it better in any number of ways. First-up, access to the engine and electronics is vastly improved with a hatch that now runs full-width to the transom, the hull is wider too with a 14.7inch beam (373mm - it was 12.5inches/318mm), and the hull-deck join has been strengthened with dual layers of fibreglass. The big news though is the inclusion with the 2012 Octane 45 of our latest hi-tech engine, the amazing 6.0+hp billet-machined XP254M that revs to 19,000rpm or more! You'll find all the details of this new engine elsewhere on our website, and we have fitted it with our improved clutch that uses a CNC-machined no-spring plate for smoother and more reliable running. So you can better control this much power, come with AS6717/3 SBP high preformance prop, As well, we have upgraded to a CNC-machined metal servo tray in the radio box which is stronger (and looks better!) than our previous wooden tray, and a fibreglass molding holds the fuel tank more securely at the high speeds and during the tight turns that these boats are capable of executing, Other features include quick-release engine mounts, adjustable trim tabs, a tuned pipe exhaust system with a built-in muffler, and a high-flow water pump that operates from crankcase pressure pulses. The Octane 45's deep vee hull handles rougher waters that keep other boats ashore whilst the radical foredeck has dual recessed air intakes. The sharply raked central cockpit canopy leads back to a unique aft deck with triple transom peaks. The combination of significant extra power in a longer and stronger hull that already offered head-turning style and graphics makes the 2012 Octane 45 a must-have boat for you!
